Furze & Smith Haulage Contractors, Leeds

John Furze Jr. (Johnny) and William (Willie) Smith of Furze and Smith Haulage Contractors,  Leeds, posing with their Foden Steam Wagon. The vehicle, registration MA 3805, was registered in July 1920. The original colours were red and chocolate. It was a flat platform (with detachable sides), 5 ton (unladen weight) commercial steam wagon. Its maximum permissible speed was 8 m.p.h.

​

The wagon was later under the ownership of J & J Griffiths of Narberth, Pembroke from 1924 and the license was cancelled in 1934.
